IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL PICKLEBALL PLAYERS
Everyone - this is an unprecedented time for our club. Thank you for coming together, making sound recommendations on short notice, and helping us get through this. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Due to one of our pickleball members testing positive for Covid19, and in keeping with the Boards desire to assure the safety of all our members, we have decided to cancel all organized play from Saturday, January 9, 2021 through Saturday January 16, 2021. The next Organized play will be Monday, January 18th.
Also, our General Meeting that was scheduled for this Thursday is rescheduled for Thursday, January 21.
Pickleball players may participate in drop in play at THEIR OWN RISK. If you chose to play, please practice all CDC recommendations by wearing masks when you’re not actively playing, washing hands, and staying at least 6 feet away from others (practice that COVID wave at the end of games please). We also encourage players and spectators not to linger in even small groups.
The Rob Davidson Skills Clinic, as of right now, is still a go for Sunday, January 17th. Once again, participation is as your own risk.
Our Board will continue to monitor player safety and health and will make changes as appropriate.
Until we can see you and play together STAY SAFE and BE HEALTHY!
We have a positive test of COVID19 amongst our pickleball membership. Cindy Beringer decided to get tested for Covid. It came back positive. “Just wanted everyone to know. Jeff is getting tested as well. I thought you might want to share this with the pickleball club. Sorry to have to report this”.
We appreciate Cindy for letting us know and we hope for a swift recovery.
We provide this information so you can make the best decisions for you - whether you want to get tested, quarantine, not play in events, etc.
Nobody wants to see our courts get locked down again. In light of the positive COVID test by one of our members that recently played, the Board has decided that effective immediately - all players and spectators MUST wear a mask that completely covers their mouth and noses when they are not actively playing.
Social distances MUST be adhered to. Do not convene in one location at the beginning of an event. We all know the drill: at the appointed time you should be on your court ready to play and waiting for the whistle to start the game.

Saturday, January 23rd - Ray's Racquets will be at the courts bringing paddles to 'test" during the Couples event. They will also have clothing, shoes, and lots of pickleball stuff. They plan on being there around 930 am and will stay as long as there are shoppers.
Mark it on your calendars. He said they will have lots of stuff marked down.

We are waiting for Fence caps, pavers, gravel, trees and electrical wiring to be installed! It's been a long road to get these courts! Patience, patience, patience. A huge thanks to the Roberts Team and the PEM Management Team..... and of course thanks to those who have continually fought or debated the need for additional courts. They are almost done.
Our PEM Pickleball Club election of Officers took place at our Annual Banquet/Meeting on March 11, 2020. We elected the following - Please welcome: President Kelli Mollison, Vice President Frenchy Relyea, Secretary Lynn Retzak & Treasurer Janett Hampton and Three (3) Board members at large: Doug Gibbs, Craig Hutton and Jody Holecek-Tieken .
